When you combine my curious kids and my camera, I'm in heaven. And I know I'm rubbing off on Buster because he told me, "Mom, I just love nature." Here are some of our adventures since yesterdays post. I couldn't wait to share them with you all...
A make-shift swing that will do until daddy builds a real set this summer. (I won't deny it, I considered myself the coolest mom for flinging a squirt gun attached to a string all over the place, nearly hitting my kids multiple times just to get this swing up. I'm as excited for him as he is.)

John Patrick spotted this nest yesterday in a fork of the tree he just learned to climb.
And just LOOK!!! We were so excited to see the baby birds starting to hatch when we looked in today. I quickly took a picture and shooed everyone away. I'm dying to go look again but forcing myself to wait at least a few hours. I doubt they make much headway in 30 minutes. :-)
Caterpillar eggs (right?) on a leaf also found by observant JP from his favorite new perch.

Anella, intent on the caterpillar Dora found.

The beautiful fence line we get to enjoy courtesy of someone we've never met. The only problem is that I would love to jump it and walk the trail that they keep mowed. I saw the man who mows it a few days ago and contemplated flying out my back door to ask if he would mind us doing just that, but he was quickly past. bummer.

Pea tee pee coming right along.

Successful!!

Or just tromping around with a spade, looking for things to dig.
I love it outside. Not in the North Face, mountain climbing, pee in the woods kind of way. In the sit out in the yard and examine flowers for bugs, jump from stone to stone in a creek bed, climb a tree kind of way.
