Uncle!! Uncle!!!

I give up!! Apparently the nice weather is too much for me. I can't handle it and the rest of life at the same time. It's not that bad really but the time I would spend getting little things accomplished I just want to be planting or transplanting, pushing babies in the swing or building a "muscado" (volcano. don't ask me why) in the sand. We have perfected our tunnel through it.

Anyway, asking for money has gotten me back to blogging. :-)
Really! The New Hope Center's annual Walk for Life is coming up and you too can be part of the fun!! If you are looking for a good, free, fun time on Saturday April 25th then pick up a walk form from church if you go to Grace or I'll mail you one if not and get a couple sponsors and come on out. There will be lots of family fun and you'll have a great time. Otherwise.... SPONSOR ME!! I have a crazy need to win anything that could be close to a competition and so I want to be the biggest fundraiser. I know. It's kind of sick.
I never win. There is always these few people that beat me (never mind that they don't know we're competing) by A LOT. Still, get on board, it a good time. Just respond or e-mail me. If you gave in the past, I'll be calling you.... :-)

Update

Sadly, the House Health & Welfare Committee met, heard and voted down Senate Bill 79 – The Ultrasound Bill with an 8-8 tie vote.

Do not lose heart. This is without doubt a very disappointing moment – but if we sow, we will reap! Kentucky IS a pro-life state and ultimately those who share deeply help pro-life convictions will prevail.

Our congratulations to Kentucky Right to Life and all the organizations and individuals who labored so hard to pass this legislation and get it this far in the process – one more “Yes” vote on the committee and it would have gone to the full House where everyone knows it would have passed overwhelmingly.

Please allow the disappointment you (and we) are now feeling to carve out an even greater capacity within you to believe and to endure until Truth triumphs and the sanctity of life is honored.

Keep the faith!

Good quotes

I've been without a camera but life has also been crazy lately. I should be in bed now. So here are a few quotes that probably won't pacify the grandparents but it'll have to do. :-)

Dora: "Mommy, I'm eaty." (hungry)
Mommy:"No snacks right now Dory. I'm making dinner."
Dora: "Guuuuuuuuuuu."
This is her new sound. She loves to try it out when she's annoyed. (often when we're playing cards and she has to "go fish".) Mostly it's still in the "testing" mode. I have to pay close attention to when she switches to using it seriously. :-)

JP with a hang nail that's bleeding:"Mommy! I need a band-aid"
Mommy:"Okay buddy, don't worry, I have some upstairs."
We go up to my bathroom together and I slap a band aid on and turn to run back to dinner on the stove when he compassionately hugs my legs and says so gently, "Thanks for doing that for me mommy."

Also, could someone tell me how to post a video?
